Senior Analyst, Private Equity
We are seeking a Senior Analyst to join our investment team. The ideal candidate will have 1-4 years of experience in a rigorous analytical environment and will play a pivotal role in supporting all aspects of the investment process, from deal sourcing and due diligence to portfolio management and exit strategies. This is a unique opportunity to gain exposure to the entire lifecycle of private equity investments while contributing to the forward stewardship mission of Sovereign’s Capital.
Essential Functions:
Support Culture: Embody the firm’s overall faith-driven culture as we seek to live out our company’s vision, mission, and values.
Deal Origination: Actively support in the identification of potential investment opportunities by conducting market/industry research, supporting deal flow communication efforts, and maintaining deal tracking databases.
Due Diligence: Conduct comprehensive due diligence on pipeline companies, including financial modeling, market research, competitive landscape assessment, and risk assessment, to evaluate potential investments and their growth prospects. Manage data room governance, data requests, and documentation from diligence through final close.
Financial Modeling and Valuation: Perform extensive financial modeling, sensitivity analysis, and valuation analysis to support decision making processes.
Transaction Execution: Assist in structuring investment transactions, coordinating legal and financial due diligence, and preparing investment and financing memos for review by senior team members and investment committees.
Portfolio Management: Support the management and monitoring of existing portfolio companies, including analyzing monthly performance, monthly and quarterly reporting, and maintenance of company records. Support portfolio Operating Partners in design and execution of value creation strategies.
Investor Relations: Assist in preparing fundraising materials, investor reports, and updates to communicate investment performance and insights to limited partners as a supplement to the formal Investor Relations team.
Required Skills and Abilities:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
1-4 years of relevant experience in a rigorous analytical environment such as Investment Banking, Private Equity, Management Consulting, or a related field, with a proven track record of successful deal execution.
Strong quantitative & analytical skills with fluency in financial statements.
Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Strong understanding of accounting, corporate finance, capital markets, and investment principles.
Proficiency in building complex financial models with a concentration on leveraged buyout transactions.
Demonstrated ability to identify, diligence, and manage investment opportunities over time through exit.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills to effectively interact and collaborate with stakeholders, management teams, and investors.
Desire to work hard and do timely and excellent work.
Proactive/self-starter with ability to take initiative and excel in a remote work environment.
Superior attention to detail.
